Desenzani was founded about 70 years ago by Enrico Desenzani.
During the 1930's Mr. Desenzani collaborated with Franchi in the production of an over and under which was basically a copy of the Boss.
The company was taken over by Mr. Gussago and Mr. Zulli and they are still making a small production of about 10 guns per year. These are very fine guns built by hand, hence the small quantity available each year.
The over and unders are made in both 12 gauge and 20 guage to the customer's own specifications, and engraving style and engraver is the choice of the customer.
As well as single triggers, Desenzani are the only company producing high grade sidelock over and unders who give the option of a single/double trigger. This will operate as a single trigger on either front or back trigger as well as a normal double trigger.
Since we took over the distribution of Desenzani guns much work has been done to refine the feel and balance of the game guns. This is down to my old friend Jack Mitchell. The Woodward type Prince of Wales grip has proved very popular with game shooters.
The delivery time is approximately 18 months depending on the engraver and style required. The more intricate styles can take up to 4 months to execute.
